The first week of the month is always a busy one in Hopewell Borough. Below is an overview of what’s happening:
Trash and Recycling Pickup – Tuesday June 4
Tuesday is the regular trash and recycling pickup in the Borough. Please remember that trash containers should be covered and watertight to prevent mixing of rain/stormwater and placed at the curb between 3PM on Monday and 7AM Tuesday for pickup.
Mayor’s Office Hours – Wednesday June 5
Looking for another way to connect with our town? Generally held every other Wednesday afternoon at 1PM and every second Saturday morning of the month at 9AM, Borough Hall is open for drop in discussions with Mayor Kennedy and Borough Administrator Doug Walker. No appointments necessary. Any changes to the schedule will be posted to the Borough website. (Note that the June Saturday hours have been rescheduled from the 2nd Saturday to Saturday June 15)
Planning Board Meeting – Wednesday June 5
The Hopewell Borough Planning Board will meet on Wednesday June 5 at 7PM in person at Borough Hall, with an option to view the meeting via zoom (instructions can be found here). More information can be found on the Planning Board page here.
Borough Council Meeting – Thursday June 6
The April Borough Council meeting will be Thursday June 6 at 7PM. The meeting will be in person at Borough Hall with a zoom broadcast. Information on how to tune in via zoom can be found here. As always, we look forward to getting input from you at the meeting, in person or via zoom. The agenda can be found below and ordinances can be found here. Town-wide Yard Sale Weekend – Saturday and Sunday June 8/9
Reminder that the annual town-wide yard sale is scheduled for Saturday-Sunday June 8 and 9. No permits for yard sales are required for this weekend. Please enjoy and do your part to keep Hopewell safe in what promises to be a crowded event! Bulk trash pickup will follow on June 10, and is limited to Borough residents only. The disposal of construction waste, items containing refrigerant, oil or fuel, paint, or other hazardous waste will not be accepted.
