The Borough Council will meet on Thursday, June 6, and introduce a redevelopment plan for 57 Hamilton Avenue, also known as Hopewell 57.

A draft of the redevelopment plan can be found on the Borough redevelopment and planning board website pages and is linked below

On Wednesday, June 5, the Planning Board will determine whether the redevelopment plan is not inconsistent with the borough’s master plan. The following evening, the Borough Council will introduce an ordinance which will begin the process of Council Review and Public Hearing(s) regarding the plan. A public hearing on the plan will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 @ 7:00 PM, Hopewell Borough Hall.

At Council’s June 6 meeting, the Borough’s planner will give a brief explanation of the plan and help answer questions about the process during the public comment section. Because this will be the introduction of the ordinance, questions and comments about the plan itself should be reserved for the hearing, which is scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2024.

Both meetings begin at 7 p.m. and can be attended either in-person at Borough Hall: 88 E. Broad St., Hopewell, NJ 08525, or viewed online via Zoom. Information on viewing and commenting at Borough Council meetings, and viewing Planning Board meetings can be found here.

If you are unable to attend in-person or via Zoom, you can watch recorded Council meetings posted on our YouTube channel.
