Pedestrian, Bicycle and Safety Advisory Committee (PBSAC)

In-Person Meetings

Starting with the May 2022 meeting, the PBSAC will be resuming meeting in person at Borough Hall.

The Hopewell Borough Pedestrian, Bicycle and Safety Advisory Committee (PBSAC) generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm and acts as an advisory body to the Borough Council on issues of pedestrian, traffic and bicycle safety and connectivity. The board is made of volunteer residents of the Borough and the surrounding area.

Committee Vision Statement (adopted 4/2022)

We are working for Hopewell Borough to be a pedestrian and bike friendly rural village, where:

  • parents can trust their responsible fifth-grader to safely walk or ride their bike to school and their friends’ houses
  • outdoor enthusiasts of all ages can easily access our parks and trails
  • everyone, including users of wheelchairs or mobility aids, can enjoy our shops and restaurants.

Committee Mission Statement (adopted 4/2022)

To research and recommend implementable strategies to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while championing the interests of everyone who walks, rides and drives in Hopewell Borough.
