The first week of the month is always a busy one in Hopewell Borough! Below is an overview of what’s happening:
Blawenburg Band Concert – Monday July 29
The next Blawenberg Band concert will be Monday July 29 at 7:00 at Hopewell Borough Park (please note the change from the traditional Train Station location this summer due to construction work). Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Hopewell Fire Department.
Special Water Subcommittee Informal Q&A Meeting – Tuesday July 30
The Borough Water Subcommittee will be holding an informal presentation and Q&A session on Tuesday, July 30 at 7PM at Borough Hall. Residents and business representatives are welcome to join in person or online via zoom for an update on the possible sale of our water system, provide feedback and ask questions. Trash and Recycling Pickup – Tuesday July 30
Tuesday is the regular trash and recycling pickup in the Borough. Please remember that trash containers should be covered and watertight to prevent mixing of rain/stormwater and placed at the curb between 3PM on Monday and 7AM Tuesday for pickup.
Mayor’s Office Hours – Wednesday July 31
Looking for another way to connect with our town? Generally held every other Wednesday afternoon at 1PM and every second Saturday morning of the month at 9AM, Borough Hall is open for drop in discussions with Mayor Kennedy and Borough Administrator Doug Walker. No appointments necessary. Any changes to the schedule will be posted to the Borough website.
Board of Health Meeting – Wednesday July 31
The Board of Health will be be having it’s next regular meeting on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at 6PM at Borough Hall.
Borough Council Meeting – Thursday August 1
The August Borough Council meeting will return to its regular 1st Thursday of the month date/time this week and be held Thursday August 1 at 7PM. The meeting will be in person at Borough Hall with an option to review and participate via Zoom. Information on how to tune in via zoom can be found here. As always, we look forward to getting input from you at the meeting, in person or via zoom. Property Taxes Due – Thursday August 1
You (or your mortgage company, if your taxes are paid by them) should have recently received the final 2024 and preliminary 2025 tax bills in the mail. Reminder that taxes are due August 1, 2024 and can be paid by mail, in person or online.
