While American Water is in the midst of a major infrastructure project causing frequent detours on West Broad Street, local businesses remain open, and the police will let you through the barriers at the west end to access residences and businesses (unless they advise you construction that day is fully blocking that end of the street and requires you to access the business from the detour to the East side – which should be is relatively rare).
Area businesses that are impacted by the detour include: The Flower Broad, Old Glory Detailing, Hopewell Veterinary Group, and the Secret Stitchery (opening 9/12).
