Please note that a fire flow water test is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday the 9th of October between 8:00am-9:00am related to the Hopewell Inn Project. The test is required for the design of a fire suppression system for the building. Residents and businesses may experience discolored water after the test and reduced pressure during the test. While the actual test only takes a few minutes, the discoloration may take a little while longer to clear up.

The Borough Water Department recommends water use be kept at a minimum during the stated hours, between 8:00am-9:30am. Water may be discolored and system pressure may be reduced, especially in the test area. Any discoloration caused by the test will be of short duration and will not affect the quality or safety of the drinking water. The flow test will be performed at the hydrant across from the Library at 14 E. Broad St.
