On July 30, 2024, the Hopewell Borough Water Committee held a community outreach meeting to both provide residents with the latest information on the potential sale of the water utility and to solicit feedback from the community. Councilmember Mackie presented information regarding the current condition of the water system as well as a forward-looking, ten-year maintenance plan as well as operational costs and their impact on our water rates. Mr. Mackie’s presentation also provides a ten year look at how the Borough’s water rates compare to what we could expect should the Borough sell the utility.
