Community Pot Luck June 1
Join your neighbors at a Community Zero-Waste Potluck on Sunday, June 1st from 5-7PM at Hopewell’s Historic train Station. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, share a meal, and swap ideas for more sustainable living! Beginner’s Compost Workshop June 7
Are you wondering how to get started with at-home composting? The Hopewell Valley Green Team has partnered up with the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County to offer a FREE beginner’s workshop for backyard composting! The workshop will be held Saturday, June 7th from 10-11:30AM at the Mercer Educational Gardens on Federal City Rd. Thanks to a Sustainable Jersey Grant from the PSEG Foundation, all Hopewell Borough residents who complete the workshop will receive a $25 coupon to use towards sustainable landscaping supplies – including compost equipment, native plants, and more! The coupon can be redeemed at My Backyard at Nectars, Rosedale Town & Country, and Stony Brook Gardens. There is no residency requirement to attend the workshop, so invite your friends from outside the borough too. You MUST pre-register for the workshop by emailing programs@mgofmc.org. Please indicate in the email if you are a Hopewell Borough resident. To receive the coupon, bring proof of residency to the workshop. (ie drivers license, or photo ID + recent tax/utility bill or bank statement). Coupon available to first 25 residents.
