The first week of the month is always a busy one in Hopewell Borough. Below is an overview of what’s happening:
Trash and Recycling Pickup – Tuesday May 5th
Tuesday is the regular trash and recycling pickup in the Borough. Please remember that trash containers should be covered and watertight to prevent mixing of rain/stormwater and placed at the curb between 3PM on Monday and 7AM Tuesday for pickup.

Highlights from this month’s meeting include: public hearings on the 2026 budget and an ordinance to introduce a four-way step sign at the corner of Columbia Ave. and Seminary. Please stay tuned for additional improvements and Council and Borough staff look forward to hearing any suggestions or comments you may have!
Mayor’s Saturday Mayors Office Hours/Coffee – May 9th (9AM)
Looking for another way to connect with our town? Generally held every other Wednesday afternoon at 1PM and every second Saturday morning of the month at 9AM, Borough Hall is open for drop in discussions with Mayor Kennedy, no appointments needed. Please always check the Borough website for any location changes.
Capital Project/Surplus Outreach and Listening Session – May 13 (6PM)
The Borough will be holding a series of information outreach and listening sessions over the course of the next several months to collect input and ideas on upcoming capital projects and use of future expected surplus funds resulting from the sale of the water system. The first meeting will be at Borough Hall on Wednesday May 13, 2026 at 6PM and will provide an opportunity for community members to briefly see the list of projects that the Borough has been tracking for and possible future implementation and to provide feedback and input as to where Council should prioritize funding. The meetings will be informal, and will be held at a verity of times and locations. Information on how to provide feedback electronically will be provided shortly.
