The upcoming week in Hopewell Borough is a busy one! Below is an overview of what’s happening:
Trash Pickup – Tuesday March 18th
Tuesday is the regular trash pickup in the Borough. Please remember that trash containers should be covered and watertight to prevent mixing of rain/stormwater and placed at the curb between 3PM on Monday and 7AM Tuesday for pickup.
Economic Development Committee – Tuesday March 18th
The Hopewell Borough Economic Development Committee (EDC) will meet on Tuesday, March 18 at 7PM in the upstairs conference room at Borough Hall. The Committee acts as an advisory body to the Borough Council on promote and assist businesses in the Borough. More information on the EDC can be found here.
Historic Preservation Commission – Tuesday March 18th
The Hopewell Borough Historic Preservation Commission will meet on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 PM in the council chambers (downstairs) at Borough Hall. The Commission is an advisory body to the Planning Board on development and modifications of structures in the Historic District and the historic district buffer. Mayor’s Office Hours – Wednesday March 19th (1PM)
Looking for another way to connect with our town? Generally held every other Wednesday afternoon at 1PM and every second Saturday morning of the month at 9AM, Borough Hall is open for drop in discussions with Mayor Kennedy and Borough Administrator Doug Walker. No appointments necessary. Any changes to the schedule will be posted to the Borough website.
Planning Board Meeting Canceled – Wednesday March 19th
The Hopewell Borough Planning Board meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday March 19, 2025 has been canceled. A copy of the sunshine notice can be found below. Additional information can be found on the Planning Board page here. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday April 2nd at 7PM.
Borough Council Meeting – Thursday March 20th
The next Borough Council meeting will be Thursday March 20th at 7PM. The meeting will be in person at Borough Hall with a zoom broadcast. Information on how to tune in (and comment) via zoom can be found here. As always, we look forward to getting input from you at the meeting, in person or via zoom. The agenda can be found below and pending ordinances can be found here. Please note that Borough Council will be meeting at 6PM before the formal meeting in executive session, but the public part of the meeting will open to the public at the regular 7PM start time.
