The Hopewell Fire Department and Memorial Day Parade Committee regret to inform you that we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s Hopewell Memorial Day Parade.
After closely monitoring the weather, conditions do not appear promising, and we feel this is the best decision for the safety and well-being of our parade participants and community members. As a reminder, there is no rain date for this event.
While we are disappointed that we will not be able to continue this cherished tradition this year, we encourage everyone to take a moment this Memorial Day weekend to remember the true meaning of this holiday.
We honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to continuing this cherished tradition at next year’s Hopewell Memorial Day Parade.
