You are invited to a special town hall meeting on Thursday July 31, 2025 at 7:00 PM as part of our ongoing public outreach in advance of the November 4, 2025 public referendum on the proposed sale of our water system. The meeting will be in person at Borough Hall, broadcast via zoom and recorded for those who cannot attend that night. Topics will include:
- Critical water system infrastructure needs and projected future operating and debt-service costs.
- Impacts of keeping or selling the system on your water rates and municipal taxes.
- Relationship of the proposed sale to the overall fiscal health of the Borough.
Representatives from the proposed purchaser, New Jersey American Water, will also make a presentation and be available to answer questions.
