Join us for Hopewell’s first pedestrian-only “Halloween Zone” on Columbia Ave. this October 31st! From 5:30-9:00 PM Columbia Ave. and several cross streets will be closed to motor vehicles to create a safe, traffic-free experience for families trick-or-treating this year.
Event Details:
- Columbia Avenue closed from EMS driveway to Elm Street
- Hopewell Township Police Department officers stationed throughout for safety and temporary safety lighting at some intersections will be provided
- Detour signs posted (see map below); emergency access maintained throughout the evening
- Please avoid parking on Columbia Ave, 5:00-9:30 PM (cars will only be able to be moved on an emergency basis)
- Please avoid parking on East Prosect and Elm Street where marked
- Visitors and residents who need access to their cars are encouraged to park at Hopewell Elementary
What to Expect:
- Decorated homes along the route and one of the best candy opportunities in Hopewell Valley
- Additional candy distribution by Borough Council and Fire Department volunteers
- Safe strolling for the hundreds of trick-or-treaters who visit the area
- Residents will receive a letter with additional details
