The Division of Taxation has provided an informational flyer and a series of upcoming events to assist residents in filing for property tax and renter relief programs.  Eligible residents should be sure to file their applications for these programs by the October 31 deadline.

Under the ANCHOR Program, renters with income under $150,000 can receive $450 and homeowners can receive $1,500.  Homeowners with incomes up to $250,000 can receive $1,000.  Renters and homeowners aged 65 or older or disabled will receive an additional $250.

New this year, both homeowners and renters over age 65 must complete a PAS-1 application for the ANCHOR program.  The PAS-1 is a combined application that will also allow homeowners to be assessed for eligibility for two additional property tax relief programs:  Senior Freeze and StayNJ.

Anyone is welcome to attend the upcoming filing events for assistance completing the applications, but they must bring the documents and information listed on the flyer.
