All three Hopewell Valley fire departments have volunteer opportunities for anyone regardless of experience, age, or physical capabilities. Members as young as 14 and throughout their later years in life are welcome. Recently, our area departments have sent members in their 60’s to Fire and EMT school. Our volunteer Fire/EMS companies also welcome seasonal members and college students.
Volunteering with your local fire department offers practical skills, rich camaraderie, and experiences that build confidence and community. Each department trains year-round and hosts community events throughout the year. They always put family, work, and school before volunteering, and support each other in every aspect of our lives outside the department. We are one big family, and are always welcoming members to our valley-wide emergency response community.
