Monday February 23. It is expected that trash and recycling pickups scheduled for Tuesday February 24, 2026 will be attempted, but delays are expected.

The Mercer County Improvement Authority (MCIA) who provides recycling services to the Borough has confirmed that their contractors will attempt recycling pickup as expected on Tuesday February 24, however please expect delays as crews attempt to navigate the challenging winter conditions. Trash pickups from the Borough’s contractor are expected to be delayed as well. When putting out your materials please make sure your trash and recycling is both secure and accessible when put out, allowing crews to access your cans from the street and neither blocking sidewalks, roads or in a place where it will be plowed in/knocked over.

As always, stay safe and special thanks to our town’s Public Works Department and their counterparts at Mercer County for their hard work during snow storms – additional updates will be posted to Borough social media and website. If you are not already receiving emergency notifications from the County, or emails from the Borough, please sign up here.

Reminder that snow and ice must be removed from sidewalks within 12 hours of the end of the storm. Special thanks to everyone who is out helping their neighbors shovel out!
