A large storm is on tap for our area starting Sunday evening (January 31) through Tuesday morning (February 2). Hopewell Borough will provide updates about the storm here and on the Borough’s twitter page @HopewellBoro. Updated 2/1 at 4:45 with information on rescheduled recycling and trash pickup. Updated 2/4 at 4:40 with revised information on trash pickup.
In anticipation of the major storm, please remember:
Street parking – In order to allow crews to clear streets during and after a snowfall, parking is prohibited on all Borough streets when snow-covered and for 12 hours after a snow event. Snow emergency parking is available at the parking lots at the Train Station and at Borough Hall.
Sidewalks – sidewalks shall be cleared to a width of three feet or the entire width of the sidewalk, whichever is less, within 12 hours after a snow event.
Trash/Recycling – Recycling and trash collection for Tuesday HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY 2/5/21. (Please note that trash pickup was previously rescheduled for Thursday, but further information from the contractor and additional delays have required trash to be moved to Friday).
Power Outages – In case of power outage, please report to PSEG 1-800-436-PSEG (7734). Or register your phone for texts by texting “reg” to 4PSEG (47734), then “out” to 4PSEG if out.
