The regular July Borough Council meeting, will be held on Monday JULY 1, 2024, at 7:00pm at Boro Hall, 88 East Broad Street. A remote Zoom Option is available for those who cannot attend in person at: https://www.hopewellboro-nj.us/borough-council-meeting-hybrid-option-test/
The Borough Council encourages the public to attend this important Public Hearing to learn about the proposed Multi-Family Residential Redevelopment Plan for “Hopewell 57”, located at 57 Hamilton Avenue, Block 18, Lot 1, and Block 12, Lot 7, which was designated as “an Area in Need of Redevelopment” in 2015. A presentation will be provided, which will include an overview of the redevelopment process, the Borough’s efforts on redevelopment to date, site information and history, information on the proposed Redevelopment Plan, and the next steps. The Redevelopment Plan proposes a multi-family residential development that is more compatible with surrounding land uses. Historic architecture and design reflective of Hopewell Borough would be required for any development. The plan also provides diverse and affordable housing opportunities for Borough residents. The Redevelopment Plan provides guidance and regulations for any future development of the site and does not include specific development details, site plan information, or concept plans. When a Redeveloper seeks to develop the site, such information would be provided to the Planning Board as part of a site plan application.
Detailed information on Redevelopment can be found on the Borough’s website at https://www.hopewellboro-nj.us/government/redevelopment/ or you may contact Borough Clerk’s office by email (regina.toth@hopewellboro-nj.us) or telephone (609-466-2636) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday for copies of the Plan and ordinance.
