Additional Volunteers Needed for Watering Street Planters

Special thanks to the volunteers from the Sourland Conservancy who provided our Borough street planters a colorful fall refresh last weekend. These native container gardens are not only beautifying our town, they provide important food and shelter for resident and migratory birds and pollinators. The Sourland Conservancy is looking for a few more volunteers to help keep them watered and thriving for the remainder of the season. If you can “adopt” one near your home or business, please email lcleveland@sourland.org for additional information on how you can assist. If you can’t commit to care for a specific planter, please feel free to give one a drink informally. The planters have excellent drainage, so overwatering them is not an issue.
