Update 4/30/20 The Planning Board meeting scheduled for May 6, 2020 has been CANCELLED. The next regularly schedule meeting is June 3, 2020.

Update 4/28/20 In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and as authorized by Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 130 released today, the Borough will extend the grace period for the 2nd Quarter taxes due on May 1st through June 1, 2020. Payments received after June 1 will accrue interest retroactive to May 1st.

Update 4/24/20 Tax Payment info: The 2nd Quarter taxes are due May 1 (grace period to May 11) – click on link for detailed information about payment options as well as 3rd Quarter estimated billing.

Update 4/10/20 The Hopewell Borough Council of Churches has organized a town-wide church bell ringing for 10:00am Sunday, April 12. The Hopewell Fire Department will use its siren at 9:55am to announce the start of the event. Update 4/6/20 The Borough Economic Development Committee will conduct an electronic meeting on Wednesday April 8 at 8:30am. Information on how to to view the meeting using the zoom video platform is available here.

Update 11:00AM 3/27/20 The April Planning Board meeting has been canceled.  The 4/2 Borough Council meeting will be conducted electronically. Information on how to view the meeting and public participation is available here, using the “zoom” video platform.  

Update 3/26/20 Revised information on Hopewell Borough services has been posted, including revised procedures for construction inspections. Additionally, the April municipal court secession has been CANCELED.

Update 4:00PM 3/23/20 Information on the State’s COVID-19 self Assessment web page and a message from the Hopewell Valley Senior Services Coordinator has been under the “Information from Hopewell Borough on the Corona Virus” heading.

Update 3:00PM 3/21/20 Effective immediately, all non-essential public works tasks are suspended. Crews will respond to emergencies and public safety issues but WILL NOT be collecting brush, etc. Please do not put brush at curbside. Trash/recycling schedules are unchanged.

Update 2:15PM 3/21/20 Governor Murphy has issued additional executive orders to combat Coronavirus. Executive Order 107 closes all non-essential brick and mortar businesses to the public, with several exceptions including the continued allowance of take out and delivery from restaurants and liquor stores, markets, medical facilities, gas stations, laundry-mats/dry-cleaners, banks, pharmacies, convenience stores and mail delivery stores. Essential retail businesses must, wherever practicable, provide pickup services outside or adjacent to their stores for goods ordered in advance online or by phone. Please read the full order here.

Update 4:45PM 3/20/20 The Hopewell Valley Regional School District has partnered with Hopewell Township, Hopewell Borough and Pennington Borough and local faith based organizations to support families and individuals in need throughout the Valley during the COVID 19 outbreak.  Starting Monday March 23 the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry will be operational. Information on how to request assistance and grocery deliveries or to volunteer/donate can be found here.

Update 5:30PM 3/19/20 Our Health Department has developed a hyperlocal call line to address the large volume of inquiries related to COVID 19. The phone number is 908-533-9319 and will be staffed Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30. Further information can be found on this page under the “Information from Hopewell Borough on the Corona Virus” heading.
